Dwarf Eats Mountain

Dwarves hunger for gold, and one mountain is never enough. You hire dynamite throwers, ballistas, flamers and laser cannons to chew through peaks, then trust little Runners to haul the loot home before the mountain fights back. Slow, cozy and happily absurd, it is perfect for leaving on in the background while the numbers climb.

Is Dwarf Eats Mountain worth it?

Dwarf Eats Mountain is worth it if…

  • you like slow, relaxed incremental games you check on over days
  • you enjoy tinkering with builds, synergies and artifact collections
  • you find cute pixel dwarves and a greedy Great Maw funny

Chewing through a mountain

You build a crew of miners and war machines, each with its own strengths and weaknesses: spelunkers, runesmiths, brewmasters, bulldozers, gyrocopters and more. Add upgrades and active rituals to buff them, then stack artifacts into absurd synergies that make every run faster than the last.

You watch gold and gems pop out of the rock as damage ticks up. Hurting the mountain physically and emotionally is the fun part, and finding the combination that melts it quickest is the puzzle.

Getting the gold home alive

Knocked-loose treasure does not count until a Runner carries it to the Great Maw. Those brave beards weave through falling rocks to feed it, while the mountain answers your greed with calamities: boulders, earthquakes, monster dens, volcanic eruptions.

So you balance damage with hauling. Spend rare mithril and mountain souls on tough choices, unlock prestige upgrades, ascend and start bigger. There is even something the gods hid beneath the world spire, for dwarves who dig too deep.

Hungry for details?

Do you have to carry the gold yourself?

No. Your mining crew knocks gold loose, and Runners do the risky part. They dart out, grab what fell, and haul it back to the Great Maw while rocks fall around them. Your job is making sure you have enough hauling power so hard-won treasure actually makes it home.

What fights back?

The mountain itself. Troll caves, goblin dwellings, castles and mithril veins fire back at your Runners, and dealing more damage triggers calamities. Expect rolling boulders, quakes and eruptions that punish pure greed, so defense and timing matter as much as firepower.

What are artifacts and rituals for?

Artifacts are ancient finds with build-shaping effects: some grant resources, some strengthen dwarves, some give passive bonuses. You keep over 120 of them in a gallery. Rituals are active casts you fire off to buff your dwarves and machines when a peak needs that extra push.

How do prestige and ascension work?

They trade current progress for lasting speed. You unlock over 96 prestige upgrades that accelerate future runs and open new synergies. Ascension is a second, much longer layer for players who want to push past the final mountain and keep growing toward huge gold totals.
