From sketch to sewn seam
You start with an idea, then sketch, measure, cut and sew it into a finished dress. Players who stick with it describe the whole chain as feeling like actual dressmaking work. You lay out pattern pieces, stitch them at the sewing machine, then check cut shapes against the mannequin. Players find the cut pieces confusing to tell apart when deciding what goes where. Players find the cutting and stitching turns samey after a run of commissions.
A cozy evening at the worktable
This is low-pressure, cute and colorful work to unwind with. You pick fabrics, place a bow, adjust a trim, and you can pet a cat. Players describe hours slipping past while they focus on a single dress. You smooth a sleeve flat, step back, then add one more button before calling it done.
Fabric for every panel
You choose which fabric goes on each panel of the garment, from cotton and linen to wool, silk and velvet. The way you set the weave direction leaves its mark on how the gown looks at the end. You pick silk for the bodice and wool for the skirt, matching material to each part. Players find coin runs short when choosing nicer cloth.
Plan it in the sketchbook
Before cutting, you map out the gown in a sketchbook, trying colours, cloth swatches and applique. You try a darker bodice against a pale skirt, swap a sample, then commit once the mix feels right. Working to a client's asked-for look and palette can feel like cracking a puzzle. Without a way back from errors, a slip can force you to begin a gown again from scratch.
Dresses for townspeople
Townspeople ask for made-to-order gowns shaped by their events and private preferences, and each client brings a different age, build, character and backstory. You read what they want, make the dress, then hand it over to build standing and coin. You can also put your own creations in the shop window for shoppers to buy ready-made. Finished gowns are seen only as mannequin photos, with no view of the wearer in them.
What else should you know?
How free is the dress design?
Very free. Players talk about wide room to shape the bodice, sleeves, skirt, collar, cloth, colours and extras.
How does decorating feel?
Hands-on and detailed. You set lace trim and small extras where you like. That decorating work strikes players as hard to handle, and easy to leave looking uneven.
Does it suit players who never sew?
Yes. People untouched by sewing or fashion say the game pulled them in.
