Builds stacked from 200 upgrades
You start each reincarnation thin and hopeful, then pile on cultivation methods, techniques, weapons, skills and Fabaos until the screen tells a different story. There are more than 200 upgrades, and certain sets click into 50 combination effects that do the heavy lifting for a run.
That hunt for the right pairing is a highlight. One run you are a virtuous cultivator with sharp technique, the next you are running negative lifespan and drinking enemy blood to stay upright. You learn the synergies by dying with them half-finished, then coming back to force them through.
Rob, help, and live with it
The road between fights is full of random events and NPCs who want something from you. Steal from them, rob them outright, or lend a hand like a respectable cultivator. The choice is yours, and it changes what a run gives back.
Combat itself is fast, top-down and crowded, with bullet-hell pressure and martial-arts weapons doing the answering. The story stays light, told in scattered lines and item text rather than long cutscenes, which keeps the focus on clearing rooms, surviving bosses and starting just one more cycle.
Good to know?
Can you play it solo?
Yes. It is a single-player roguelike, so every run is you against the rooms, bosses and your own greed for one more upgrade.
How does cultivation shape your character?
You pick from three cultivation methods, with only one open at first and the others unlocking quickly. They set starting bonuses and extra options without locking you to one build, and clearing the game with all three opens a way to combine methods.
What do weapons do besides hit things?
Some weapons evolve when you meet their conditions, which gives even a plain-looking sword a second career. It pays to read what an item wants before you sell it off for parts.
Is it hard to get into?
Early runs feel rough while damage numbers are small and resources are tight. Once you understand combinations and which upgrades feed each other, runs turn strong fast and clearing becomes a matter of routing and patience.
