Free to playCat
A minimalist clicker about one thing: cats. Click for cats, spend them on upgrades, collect 37 of them, and check in every 8 hours for two more drops. It asks very little of you and gives back a steadily growing feline empire, one quiet session at a time.
Is Cat worth it?
Cat is worth it if…
- you like clickers you can leave running and check in on now and then
- you enjoy collecting things, especially when the things are cats
- you want something low-pressure to unwind with for a few minutes at a time
- you like watching numbers climb through long, layered upgrade trees

Clicking cats, growing numbers
The loop is as simple as it sounds: you click, cats appear, and you spend them on upgrades that make every click and every second worth more. There are 24 upgrade types with nearly 1,000 levels in total, so the numbers keep finding new room to grow long after the first click. Each of the 37 collectible cats adds its own bonus to cats per click and cats per second, and the bonuses stack as your collection grows. Nothing here is tense or punishing. You play at your own pace, and the game auto-saves so your progress is safe even when a real cat demands attention mid-session.
Collecting, checking in, customizing
Half the game happens between sessions. Every 8 hours you can pick up two cat drops that go straight to your Steam inventory, and the more cats you own, the stronger your passive income gets, so coming back regularly pays off. The drops lean common, with rarer cats sitting at small odds, so filling out the collection takes patience. It is a game built for short, regular visits rather than long marathons.
What should you know before starting?
Can you play it in short sessions?
Yes, and short sessions are what it is built for. The game auto-saves your progress, so you can click for two minutes, close it, and come back later without losing anything. The 8-hour drop cycle gives you a natural reason to check in a few times a day rather than settling in for hours.
Is it family friendly?
It is. There is nothing scary, difficult or complicated here: a clean, minimalist 2D look, cats, and buttons. Anyone who can click a mouse can play, which makes it an easy one to keep open while other things are going on.
