Guns, gore and a grindhouse attitude
Over 20 weapons, including akimbo pairs, so you can run two pistols at once while limbs come off in every direction. The gore is the point: enemies gib, blood flows, and it plays like a B-movie you get to shoot your way through. This is a fast, frantic game. Zombies close in, you backpedal and spray, decisions happen in half a second. There are AI soldiers, tanks and bandits to deal with too, so not everything shuffling at you is dead. When a wave breaks around you and the screen is a mess of red, that is the game working as intended.
Level up, build your survivor
Killing things makes you stronger, and there is a global profile and leveling system to prove it. Over 100 unique skill combinations means two players with the same hours can play very differently: one stacks survivability, another turns into a walking damage output. Character customization lets your survivor look like yours. And if getting eaten sounds better than shooting, you can play as a zombie and evolve through a special zombie skill tree instead. Progress carries across modes, so every round feeds the build you are working toward.
Five ways to play with friends
Story mode sends you through quests and side-quests to raise your odds of survival. Objective mode keeps things small and casual, and lets humans get infected mid-round while zombie players try to stop the survivors from progressing. Arena is wave survival with shared respawns and limited retries: fail a wave too many times and everyone starts over. Elimination is humans versus zombies to a frag limit, with team perks kicking in on kill streaks. Deathmatch is humans only, with old-school powerups and an announcer who salutes your wins and mocks your failures. Bring friends; the rounds are short and the lobby does the talking.
Can you play it solo?
Can you play it solo?
Technically yes, but it is built for company. Bandits and zombies hit hard when a server is nearly empty, and the difficulty scales with player count, so going alone is the hardest way to play. The game shines in co-op, where a full lobby turns the chaos into the fun kind.
How does playing as a zombie work?
In some modes you can join the other side. Zombies get their own skill tree to evolve through, and the goal is stopping the human team from progressing. Rack up enough kills and you can respawn as a human again, so the role swap cuts both ways.
Is there a story?
Yes. CyberCon, a global corporation, made neuro-hub chips mandatory implants at birth, sold as a cure for blindness and disease. Their true intentions were less friendly, and the result is a world full of zombies.
