Shades against the infestation
The setup is simple and grim: the world is overrun, and your best weapon against the monsters is monsters of your own. Shades are resurrected hunters, brought back to fight alongside the humans they once were apart from. You take command of three of them, a paladin, a knight and a mage, and level them until they can stand against what waits at the end. There is little plot along the way, and that is the trade-off: the game is about building power in a dead world, not reading about it. Note it also carries adult content, plainly flagged.
Four arenas and one boss
The structure is bare and easy to read. After a short tutorial you get a hub with a shop and four portals, each one an arena tuned from easy to brutally hard. You fight through them for gold and experience, spend the gold in the shop on weapons, armour, stat books, boosters and elixirs, and repeat until your party is strong enough. The final boss hits for flat damage that no defence can soften, so raw levels are the only answer. It is a pure grind loop, and it knows it. If that loop sounds meditative rather than tedious, this is your kind of session.
