A big hand and a lot of little Taffys
You play as a giant, merciless hand, and the town fills up with small Taffys in different outfits who wander in from the roadside. The core loop is exactly what the title says: grab one, drag her over, and drop her into a workspace. Assign her to collect fries, research tech points or any of the other jobs that unlock as the town grows. They look silly, but they can do more than a three-year-old, which the game counts as a compliment. Physics applies to everything, so a Taffy you toss will tumble and flail wherever she lands. How far can you throw one? The game openly invites you to find out.
Grow an empty lot into a super town
The town starts as bare ground, and every resource the Taffys gather goes into making it bigger. You decide which passing Taffy earns residency and which one gets evicted, a decision the game treats with all the gravity of picking fries off a tray. Buildings unlock new jobs, and every building can be upgraded to raise how much the Taffys working there produce. Level the whole town up and it turns into a proper super town, with more jobs than there are Taffys to fill them. It plays at a relaxed pace: you can wander off, leave it in the background, and nothing will punish you for it. Just check in now and then, because a Taffy with an empty fun meter starts slacking, or worse, runs away.
