Nine days to pick the one real human
You have nine days in an isolated village and five women who all claim a sad past. One is the human woman you need to escape with, four are not. You visit crime scenes, collect details on monster type, language, ritual circles, rites, bodies and places, then cross them against records to strike names off the list.
Time is the real puzzle. Hours spent investigating leave fewer hours to talk, and hours spent building trust leave thinner evidence. A kind smile reads very differently once you learn what she might be, which makes the second run feel sneaky in a good way. The deduction stays simple checklist work rather than courtroom argument.
What should you know before playing?
How does the deduction actually work?
You gather physical clues from scenes and compare them to written records to rule suspects out one by one. There is little interrogation or contradiction-chasing, so think evidence table rather than debate. The fun is in watching the same face and backstory read as confession in one run and bait in the next.
How much is romance and how much is investigation?
Most of a run is talking, bonding, and raising affection with the heroines, with investigation as the shorter spine. You need both, since the chosen human must also trust you enough to leave. If dating-sim banter bores you, the checklist will feel thin.
Is it scary?
It is tense and eerie rather than frightening, with occult rites, strange deaths, and women who may be pretending. Players who dislike horror find it manageable. Come for suspicion and atmosphere more than shocks.
Do you need the DLC?
The base game tells the nine-day escape, but the larger continuation lives in the DLC, which unlocks after heroine happy endings and reuses the common route to get there. Buy them together if you want the full story, since the base alone feels incomplete.
