A living economy you can watch working
You place foresters, farms, smiths and storehouses, lay roads, and set transport routes, then watch every plank and loaf travel by carrier to where it is needed. With more than 60 building types and more than 100 commodities, bottlenecks are the puzzle: too few carriers here, a missing road there, and suddenly the pig farm collapses while soldiers wait for gear. Up to 3,000 Pagonians work, trade and live at once, so a finished town has that busy anthill hum colony sim fans love to just sit back and observe.
Islands, tribes and fog to push back
Each run starts on a procedurally generated island with its own landscape, tribes and objectives. You explore outward, meet factions with individual needs, trade goods and take on quests to turn them into allies. Mysterious sites and artifacts hide in the fog, and decrypting them shifts what the fog can do. The story campaign follows a navigator searching for the Tower of Visions, reuniting a fractured world island by island, with boss-like Hollowed born from the fog waiting at the rough end.
Fights won in the storehouse first
Bandits, Scavs and mythical beings raid and roam, and your answer is preparation more than clicking fast. You build the economy that equips troops, then send them in tactically against the right threat. Difficulty and map settings let you tune how pushy enemies and rival factions are, so the same game can be a calm build or a timed scramble to supply an outpost. You can also build together in shared co-op for up to 4 players on one faction, or shape your own islands in the Pagonia Editor and share them.
What else should you know?
Can you play it solo?
Yes. You lead your own settlement alone in the campaign and on generated or custom maps, and co-op is optional. Multiplayer saves switch between single-player and multiplayer, so a solo town can later become a shared one.
How big do settlements get?
Large. The simulation supports up to 3,000 Pagonians at once, with dozens of building types and over a hundred goods moving along roads and transport routes. Expect wide towns with separate forestry, farming, crafting and defense districts rather than one small camp.
Is combat the focus?
No, logistics is. You recruit and position troops against bandits, Scavs and fog creatures, including strong Hollowed enemies, but strength comes from having weapons, food and roads ready. Lower settings make fights a background chore while you build; higher ones force faster supplying and defense.
