Drop in with friends, together or against each other
You can switch from offline to online at any time, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, and keep progressing through the same adventure. Join co-op friends to work through races, deliveries, sabotage and chases together, or turn the same missions into scoring battles and races against each other. You pick first or third person, or an auto camera that mixes both. It is built for loose, social sessions where someone starts a race and everyone else just follows.
Speed, tricks and Gameball matches
The core is movement. You run at high speed, slide, bounce, push off walls, grind and chain jumps across rooftops and underground routes. Landing tricks and combos in multiplayer builds Stunning Auras that lower opponents’ morale and boost allies. The game also has stealth missions and sport matches with friends, including a parkour basketball mode where you grab the ball, dodge rivals and score. Expect fast rounds, rematches, and a lot of missed catches.
Build a team and make your own races
You lead a team of young rebels, with 10 playable characters to unlock and customize by color. Gain experience, slot chips that improve aptitudes, and trade spare chips through the E-Swap system to build better ones. Different characters suit different mission types. Without leaving the game you can also use a simple editor to create your own challenges and missions, playable solo or multiplayer, so your group always has another race or event to try.
What should you know before playing?
Can you play it solo?
Yes. Hover is both single and multiplayer, and you can stay offline for the whole adventure as leader of the rebel Gamers, sabotaging propaganda, helping citizens and working toward the Orbital Station. Solo is a good way to learn routes, unlock characters and upgrade chips before bringing co-op friends along.
How do co-op and versus sessions work?
You connect at any time without restarting, then continue the adventure together. Cooperation means tackling the same missions side by side, while versus means races, events and scoring battles, including community-made ones.
What do you actually do in Hover City?
You explore a large vertical city, from skyline to underground, doing parkour, high-speed races, deliveries, sabotage, stealth missions and trick challenges. Ten characters unlock over time, each improved with experience and chips. Collectibles and side tasks double as upgrades, which gives completionists plenty to chase between story missions.
Can you create missions for your group?
Yes, with an in-game editor that does not require leaving the game. You build a challenge, then play it solo or share it for multiplayer, from straightforward races to sport events. It is the easiest way to keep a regular group fresh once you know the city.
